Lowest prices, highest quality

We want every one of our patients to leave our clinic feeling like they can live their life to the fullest, and that can’t happen if you invest in an unreliable device or are forced to pay huge prices to get it. That is why we never compromise on quality and affordability, which is shown through our vast array of top brands such as Starkey, GN Resound, Oticon, Widex, Siemens and Phonak. As an independent clinic, we never refer products due to professional bias, meaning that you can always feel confident knowing that we selected the very best options for you.

Widex hearing aids have a vast selection of great features, including…

Many of these devices come in the latest design technology that makes it near impossible to notice that you’re wearing anything at all.

Widex Hearing Aids

When you need quality hearing assistance products at great prices, look no further than Abi Hearing. We have a commitment to providing you with a second-to-none service that doesn’t break your bank. We stock a wide range of brands like the innovative Widex hearing aids, guaranteed to get you back on the road to crystal clear hearing in no time!

Widex hearing aids are so small, nearly invisible inside the ear – but don’t let their size fool you. These devices are a solution to people with minor to severe hearing loss, making sure that you’ll find what you’re looking for no matter what you need. Finally, you won’t have to worry about missing part of the conversation when you’re out at a restaurant or sports game! Smart technology in the hearing aids themselves gives you the ability to hone in on exactly the thing you’re trying to hear.

Why Do Hearing Aids Ring?

Ringing or whistling in modern digital hearing aids is likely to be one of two things; either your aid is warning you that you need to replace the batteries, or you’re receiving feedback.

Feedback is normal – not just a common occurrence in hearing aids, but microphones too! The ringing comes from sound amplified by your device “feeding back” into the microphone, which causes that sound to be amplified over and over again. When the hearing aid cannot handle this, it begins to whistle.

This is an uncomfortably loud noise – thankfully you can prevent it by not switching on your hearing aid until it’s inserted in your ear, or turning the volume down if your aid has built-in volume control (if it’s paired via Bluetooth with a smartphone, volume can be directly controlled through there).

If the hearing aid continues to ring when it’s in your ear, that could mean one of many things – either it’s not fitted properly, there’s a blockage of wax in your ear canal or there’s a fault with the device itself.

No matter the problem, Abi Hearing is here to help. Call today on (03) 9399 9536.
